An online survey on Smoking Habits of people accused Scarlett Johansson along with top stars like Johnny Depp, Leonardo Di Caprio, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears for literally turning youngsters to smokers.

According to Dr. Michael Rabinoff, ” Perhaps the most powerful form of subliminal advertisement is the practice of product placement of branded products and use of cigarettes by stars in movies. Scientific research has documented a dose-response effect of smoking portrayed in movies: the more children and underage teens see of smoking in movies (or the more they see their favorite movie stars smoke in movies), the more they smoke.

The vast majority of the new smokers around the world are children and underage teens. Currently, in the United States 80 % of smokers start smoking before they are 18 (it used to be 90%): that’s why some physicians and political leaders talk about smoking as a pediatric disease.”

Scarlett Johansson could be making her way to Linlithgow…if a bid by West Lothian Council succeeds.
It was announced at the Cannes Film Festival this week that the top actress has been signed to play Mary, Queen of Scots — the tragic monarch who was born at Linlithgow Palace.

The new movie is set to become one of the most significant historical films about Scotland since Braveheart.

And, keen to get a slice of the big-budget Hollywood epic, the council is planning to invite the production company to film at the birthplace of Mary Stuart.

“This will be a major international production which could rival the success of Mel Gibson’s Braveheart.

Sexy Ellen Barkin fears for Scarlett Johansson’s looks because she doesn’t think the pretty Lost In Translation star will age well.

I’m very comfortable with my sexuality, my body, my face - well, sometimes I’m not comfortable with my face, but it’s stuck there and there’s nothing I can do about it.”

Porn Star Jenna Jameson who claims to be a bisexual, and states that the best relationship of her life was with fellow actress Nikki Tyler, seems to have been going bananas over Scarlett Johansson.

Jameson is planning to further her crossover into mainstream entertainment with a film version of her autobiography, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale. The book spent six weeks on the New York Times best-seller list, and Jameson is in negotiations with Universal to bring her story to the big screen.

And as expected she would desperately like to see Scarlett Johansson play her in the film, “She’s number one on the list … I think she’s amazing, and she reminds me of myself when I was young.”

Scarlett Johansson and Louis Vuitton threw a party recently to celebrate the brand’s new collection.

The ‘ Love’ capsule collection by hot designer Marc Jacobs showcased the brand new logo, which was emblazoned on bags, sweat tops, scarves and tank tops.

The curvy actress, who is the face of the new campaign, was joined by A-listers including tennis star Serena Williams, singer Michael Stipe and model Eve Salvail.

Marc Jacobs’ muse and accessories designer Camille Miceli told Grazia that the inspiration behind the range came from the idea that you cannot spell the word ‘love’ without the letters ‘LV’.

She said:” Marc Jacobs has had the idea for a long time now- he created the insignia a few years ago.”

The movie, written by Cracker creator Jimmy McGovern, depicts the antagonistic relationship between Mary Stuart and her cousin, Elizabeth I, who had her imprisoned and eventually beheaded.

The producers said the film would see Mary “battle political enemies, scheming allies, and affairs of the heart in her quest to reunite the warring tribes of her native Scotland.”

Mary, a Roman Catholic, ruled Scotland from 1542 to 1567, but her designs on the throne of England, ruled by her Protestant cousin, led to her downfall and beheading at the age of 42.

Johansson, 22, has appeared in films including Lost in Translation, The Girl with a Pearl Earring, Match Point and The Black Dahlia.

The deal was announced by the production company Relativity Media at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday. The budget is expected to be around £15 million, with shooting due to start later this year.

Rumours that she would take the role had been circulating since last year but were only confirmed yesterday.

Scarlett Johansson spent another romantic evening with Ryan Reynolds on Monday night.

Then ‘Lost in Translation’ star and Alanis Morisette’s former fiancé - who were seen together in New York last month - went to watch rock band The Damnwells perform at Hollywood’s Troubadour club, where they were seen kissing.

A source told People magazine, “In the foyer they were talking and had their hands all over each other. He kissed her a couple more times in the club. He was totally sweet. She went to the restroom and he went to check up on her.

“You can’t help but recognise him because he’s tall. She had a hat on and was so tiny.”

After the show, the couple delayed their exit so Ryan could check for paparazzi before they left holding hands.

Scarlett split from Josh Hartnett last autumn, while Ryan ended his engagement to Alanis Morissette in February.

He spent Easter with Scarlett in New York.
